Omni-Questioning: on respectfully doubting everything and everyone

The IAC and the ICC conference seek to promote omini-questioning and healthy debate and intellectual diversity in the field of consciousness studies. When certain ideas or individuals become beyond questioning, science and reason begin to lose ground.

The problem with the wise is they are so filled with doubts while the dull are so certain.
- Bertrand Russell

Doubt is not a pleasant condition, but certainty is absurd.
– Voltaire

Belief is when someone else does the thinking.
- R. Buckminster Fuller

Question everything. Learn something. Answer nothing.
- Euripides

Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning.
- Albert Einstein
Doubt, the essential preliminary of all improvement and discovery, must accompany the stages of man's onward progress. The faculty of doubting and questioning, without which those of comparison and judgment would be useless, is itself a divine prerogative of the reason.
- Albert Pike

What we observe is not nature itself, but nature exposed to our method of questioning.
- Werner Heisenberg

"Don't blindly believe what I say. Don't believe me because others convince you of my words.

Don't believe anything you see, read, or hear from others, whether of authority, religious teachers or texts.

Don't rely on logic alone, nor speculation. Don't infer or be deceived by appearances.

Do not give up your authority and follow blindly the will of others. This way will lead to only delusion.

Find out for yourself what is truth, what is real. Discover that there are virtuous things and there are non-virtuous things. Once you have discovered for yourself give up the bad and embrace the good."

- Siddhartha Gautama
